My Charity Children With Disability New Zealand
At Children with Disability NZ, we're dedicated to transforming New Zealand into the most disability-friendly region globally, starting with creating accessible and inclusive playgrounds for children with disabilities.
We are a registered charity in New Zealand (CC59148), committed to enhancing the lives of children by addressing the critical shortage of facilities tailored to their needs. Our vision is clear: to make every corner of New Zealand welcoming and accessible for children with disabilities.
Our accomplishments include successfully funding a $10,000 wheelchair swing at Waipu Park, marking a significant step toward our goal. Building on this momentum, we are currently spearheading a fundraising initiative for an accessible seesaw at Raumanga Park in Whangarei. This equipment not only supports wheelchair users but also serves as a fun space for all children, promoting inclusivity and enjoyment.
In collaboration with the Whangarei Council, we are determined to make meaningful changes that last. We are also introducing four legacy plans, offering a way for individuals to contribute to lasting community improvements through their wills.
Your support is crucial. We rely solely on donations to finance these vital projects and work closely with local councils to advocate for the needs of all children. Consider contributing to our playground fund to help us reach our next goal of $10,000 for Raumanga Park. Together, we can create a more inclusive environment where disabled children, their families, and friends can experience joy and togetherness through enhanced outdoor sensory programs and accessible public spaces.
Join us in making New Zealand a welcoming home for every child.

Disability Advisory Group
Our group is formed to advise councils and the government on any concerns you may have. The idea here is to advise on what could be done better to ensure disabled people are included. I believe the disabled are just people and have a lot to contribute to the planning process. Think! If you involve disabled people, it may be possible to reduce the chances of new, more significant barriers continuing to be built.
